Since its foundation in 1984, one of the core aims of the Orchestre des Pays de Savoie has been to appear at not just one venue, but also throughout the Rhône-Alpes and at major international concert venues. With more than 80 concerts each year, from Boëge to the Lyon Auditorium, from Lanslebourg to the Salle Gaveau in Paris, from the Grange au Lac in Évian to the Victoria Hall in Geneva and the Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow, thousands of listeners are able to delight in the sound of classical music.
Under the leadership of Nicolas Chalvin since 2009, the orchestra has embraced a varied repertoire, from Bach to the most contemporary compositions. It appears in collaboration with international soloists and enjoys expanding its range of orchestral colours in collaborative projects with ensembles such as the Geneva Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestre Symphonique de Mulhouse and the Chœurs et Solistes de Lyon.
